text, or words, are not the medium i feel most comfortable with. that's why i've collected these side projects here, to let my code do the talking for me.

each project has source code linked so you can get a feel for how i approach problems and structure solutions. you may notice that over the years my setups have gotten simpler while the results, in my opinion, have gotten more interesting.

welcome page for my son's birthday. i wanted to be able to send a digital postcard to announce the birth of our first child. and also take advantage of being able to prepare as much as possible in advance.

arcade game using conway's 'game of life' in various places throughout the experience. it was the first of three projects during my web dev bootcamp and i was absolutely blown away by what could be created out of nothing using just a computer and some basic web technologies.
